Right, so most of you know I'll be going to Fanime this year. I guess what excites me most about this convention is that I'll finally be getting a chance to cosplay one of my favorite Guilty Gear characters: Axl Low. As you might guess what makes him so special to me is that he's fashioned and based off of my all-time inspiration Axl Rose. If there was ever an influential person to name in my life, it would be him.

Right now would be my time to pour my heart out about my adoration, but I'll be doing a lot of that at the convention, so I'll save that for then. My plans are for Guns n' Roses to be a huge part of my con experience. Lots of karaoke, and keeping a boom-box on me at all times. Sporting Axl's snake-dance moves and generally getting deep down into character. I'm positive he's the only cosplay I've genuinely wanted to take their role on. So if I'm acting like a punk straight outta the 80's, I'm just playing the part for fun. I'll also be getting to be my Slash... Because who the hell is Axl without Slash, eh?

I'll be driving up and spending the weekend in 's hotel and with Team Bonsai and look forward to crashing into the black and white ball. I'm not sure what other insanity they've got planned, but whatever it is I'm ecstatic.

Already started this month I'm on a vigorous weight-training plan. Like last year where my goal was to lose weight to cosplay Anji, this year I'm building muscle. I'm on a mission to get my legs and arms in shape, as one of my costumes will be a little more form-fitting than others. My strict plan is 300-600 crunches, 100 10lb dumb-bell lifts on each arm, and 50 ankle-weighted leg lifts on each leg. This is daily along with the high proteine diet that I've been sticking to since last year.

You see I've also got two new cosplays joining me at Fanime besides Axl. But I won't reveal them till the convention itself. I'll tell you this much it's anything but Kingdom Hearts, Guilty Gear, or Final Fantasy! I know I told a few of you about them already, but I've decided to keep quiet till the con days. I wanna see if any of my friends recognize me.

Speaking of such fandoms, I've found my love for some die, and others renewed. Final Fantasy is a good example of something that's slowly sparked back to life in me, and I plan on touching back with it. I've got Professor Hojo planned for AX! Also Dist the Rose from Tales of the Abyss.

Kingdom Hearts is a fandom that died long ago for me, and I don't plan on touching Xaldin for quite a while...

I know I promised one person I'd briefly wear it to AX for a photo-shoot with them, so I suppose they are an exception, but really the love for that costume and the fandom itself has become dull and stale for me. Heck I was never much of a fan to begin with. I loved Org XIII sure, but I hardly played it at all and I'm nothing like the rabid fangirls who can't seem to find anything to talk about except KH.

I suppose it's a case of shame. Why wish to dress from a series you hardly care for? You meet kids who see you and instantly think you're up to speed with them on every aspect of the game, and I just fail to care. Kind of feels like you're lying to them and I'd rather not do that anymore.

Just something I've been pondering about since I started my break.
